Sea You There is an 8 minute film and a series of redesigned products that offers unexpected solutions to ocean waste.
The huge amounts of trash drifting in the oceans are often felt as too big a problem to tackle. We aim to personalize it, letting a simple real world myth be the direction towards looking for a solution.
Any story can hold the path to thinking differently about the problem, so everyone can think for themselves.
We tell a story of two researchers looking into the myth of left and right shoes washing up on different shores, as they keep coming across plastic find a possible correlation to the locations of similar shaped objects.
The story leads us to a redesigns of products most commonly found among ocean trash.
What if we designed plastic bottles, lighters and plastic bags so that they will wash ashore, instead of endlessly drifting around in the ocean?
“Is there a solution in making products suitable for throwing them in the sea?”
